April’s Fools

run believe

April Fools:

I decided to stop running today … forever.

My achilles finally ripped in two today…

I have come up with a list of fears. They include: hoping the impossible; believing the unbelievable; seeing the miraculous; wanting the improbable; seeking the invisible; running impossibly steep inclines; claiming the un-ownable; following the trailblazer; being the trailblazer; winning the gold medal; and setting a world record. I shall henceforth shun these ignoble pursuits.

I have come to the conclusion that running every day is just plain old folly. Asking for trouble!

I realized finally, on this first day of April, that I must recalibrate and aim low!

I now know that winning isn’t the only thing.

…APRIL FOOLS!!

April’s Tools:

April showers bring May medals.

I have run every day in 2013. How about you?

If you miss a day. Shrug it off. Redeem yourself today and begin your streak anew.

Every streak starts and continues today!

Don’t bother buying new shoes. Keep on plugging miles in your old clunkers. As they get older and flatter, your form will get fresher and lighter…. hopefully:)

“The true runner is a very fortunate person. He has found something in him that is just perfect.” ~George Sheehan

“Success rests in having the courage and endurance, and above all, the will to become the person you are.” ~George Sheehan

I have come up with a list of dreams. They include: hoping the impossible; believing the unbelievable; see the miraculous; wanting the improbable; seeking the invisible; running impossibly steep inclines; claiming the un-ownable; following the trailblazer; being the trailblazer; winning the gold medal; and setting a world record. It’s all about perspective. “Turn from your old ways … and believe!” ~Jesus Christ
