Resources for Wisdom & the Coming Fight

The world says “Love yourself, grab all you can and follow your heart.”
Jesus says, “Deny yourself, grab a cross and follow me.”

Here are several sermons and 2 inspirational stories about a crazy fellow runner and a friend of ours and rock-climbing stud, Tim Klein, which I encourage you to watch. Among my favorite pastors are Ravi Zacharias, Francis Chan & Louie Giglio – 3 of the countless exemplars of totally “All-in” Christians. Yes, there are many sold-out Christ-followers out there looking to connect with you.

I hope these messages inspire you to jump “All-in” as well; and I want you to know that my peace during this time while my family and I run this new ultra-marathon against cancer emanates directly from my confidence in following my trustworthy Savior anywhere He leads. Jesus Christ is my strength and my shield. Whom shall I fear?!

Our friend and world-class climber raised $$ and pumped us with inspiration in destroying the Mt. Everest Vertical Indoor climbing record yesterday - 12/30/2016. Well done, Tim & JJ!!!

Our friend and world-class climber, Tim Klein, raised $$ and pumped us with inspiration in destroying the Mt. Everest Vertical Indoor climbing record yesterday – 12/30/2016. Well done, Tim & JJ!!! He took on the challenge specifically to raise money for his student, Keiry, who is the victim of a drive-by shooting 2 years ago.

As we expected, Tim – another “All-in” disciple of Christ – obliterated the previous record of 13 hours 25 minutes with his 9 hours 26 minute effort. He climbed a total of 29,065 feet, surpassing the height of Mt. Everest by 36 feet!

And here’s yet another inspiring story thanks to another colleague of Jana’s:

This time the connection comes from Georgetown Medical School. Our good friend, Dr. Maria Canter, is one of BethAnn Telford’s doctors and is helping this brain cancer survivor to take on the World Marathon Challenge in hopes of raising $1,000,000  in this new year for Brain Cancer research. BethAnn will race 7 marathons on 7 consecutive days on the 7 continents of the globe!! How incredible is this vision!

Beth Ann Telford hopes to raise $1,000,000 for a Brain Carner Cure!

Beth Ann Telford hopes to reach her fundraising goal of $1,000,000 in 2017 for a Brain Cancer Cure! Link up with BethAnn here. Here’s  a FoxNews story about BethAnn’s incredible attempt.
